Wendy and her husband Jay, of twenty-two years, live with their two sons, Michael and Matthew. Jay is employed at a Rocklin CPA firm and enjoys his time coaching baseball and soccer. He is also the current treasurer of Rocklin Little League. Michael is a graduate of Rocklin High, Class of 2007, and now attends Sacramento State University pursuing a degree in Business Administration. Matthew currently attends Cobblestone Elementary School in the Rocklin Unified School district.
Wendy served on the McKinleyville Elementary School Board from 1998 – 2001. She enjoyed her time at this district, facing many budget challenges and Title I issues. She was first elected to the Rocklin Unified School District in 2006 and is currently serving as Board President. She enjoys her time visiting the many schools and talking with the administrators to make certain their needs are met. She attends most board meeting of the Western Sierra Charter School and Rocklin Academy. She serves as the liaison between the Rocklin Board and the charter school. She also serves as a member of the Coalition for Placer Youth.
